A Legacy That Shaped the Kingdom’s Aviation

Aloula Aviation’s journey began in 1934 as Aramco Aviation—the first aviation company in Saudi Arabia and the second in the Middle East. From pioneering early air transport to supporting the Kingdom’s expanding industrial and energy sectors, Aloula has played a vital role in shaping regional aviation history.

Aloula Aviation traces its distinguished history to 1934, when Mukamalah Aviation Company acquired a Fairchild 71 to become the first aircraft operator in the Kingdom, supporting exploration for oil.

Aloula is proud to have been the exclusive provider of aviation services to Aramco for over nine decades, witnessing and supporting the Kingdom’s evolution to become a major energy producer.

Aloula Aviation took a new identity in 2023 as an independent company, ready to serve the full range of aviation requirements. The name “Aloula”, means “The First”, reflecting our pioneering heritage and innovative culture, delivering world-class aviation services in the Kingdom and beyond. We deliver over 1 million passengers safely to their destinations each year, with a diverse fleet connecting 18 airports (of which we manage 9) and over 300 helipads across the Kingdom. In addition, our MRO expertise helps keep aircraft where they belong; in the air, earning revenue.
